When you travel with your family and children, you need to think about triple, quadruple rooms or even apartments. And it is not always easy to find a suitable accommodation for the whole family and for a good price. So think about B&B, farm holidays, campsites and family hotels. There are plenty around in Slovenia!
Slovenia is a green destination that you will enjoy exploring with your children. There are plenty of open fields and forests to run around, rivers and lakes to experience water sports and accommodation with excellent home made and home grown food.
When travelling I personally prefer staying in B&B, even better in the countryside. In Slovenia you will find numerous farms offering accommodation and meals. They usually offer rooms or apartments to rent on B&B or half board basis.
Children love farm holidays where they can explore everyday life on a farm, help with daily tasks and run freely around the surrounding fields and pastures. And at the same time you can relax in the garden and enjoy delicious food and drinks prepared for you at the farm.
If you want more comfort, I suggest you look for family friendly hotels with family, connecting rooms or apartments. They can be situated in the countryside close to walking and cycling trails or close to towns and cultural sites (Bled, Adriatic coast).
Thermal Spas in the East of Slovenia offer also apartments and campsites. You can even rent tipi tents, wooden bungalows in the pirate bay or Wild West American style wagons. Children will love their Summer Thermal Riviera with more than 10.000 m2 of thermal water surface.
